Arc of Yates holds open interviews for Direct Support Professionals every Tuesday from 9:00AM to 1:00PM at 240 North Avenue, Penn Yan, NY 14527 for full-time, part-time and substitute positions. Direct Support Professionals provide instruction, support, and guidance to adults with differing abilities. Employment Opportunities

Direct Support Professional - 6 Part time



The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides instruction, support, guidance, and
supervision for adults with Developmental Disabilities living in the residence. The DSP
assists individuals to become integrated into his/her community according to their
personal goals, preferences, and needs. The DSP is a member of a team of service
providers who work cooperatively for the individual.


Assistant Manager- Cornwell/Serenity



The Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the IRA in the absence of the IRA Manager. She/he supervises all Direct Support Professionals and Substitutes on shift in the execution of their job duties, assuring all residents are encouraged and assisted to gain the skills necessary to live as independently as possible.


OPEN INTERVIEWS-DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS



The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides instruction, support, guidance, and supervision for adults with Developmental Disabilities.


Registered Occupational Therapist



The Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide service to individuals for the improvement of sensory input modes, integration processes, and motor response capabilities that will assist each person to attain their valued outcomes as identified in the ISP. The OT shall function closely with the individual’s primary physician, other medical specialists and core service staff, along with providing all needed assessments and participate, as appropriate, in the development of individual Day Habilitation plans.


Speech Pathology/Speech Therapy



The Speech Pathologist/Therapist will deliver services to students for the improvement and speech and language communication of the assigned children as per the student's Individual Education Plans. 


Assistant Manager- Spring Street



The Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the IRA in the absence of the IRA Manager. Behavior Intervention Specialist 1 or 2 (BIS 1, BIS 2)



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide psychological services including assessment and therapies to persons served by Arc of Yates in accordance with regulatory requirements and Agency policies. Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Support Plans (BSP), provide and oversee staff training in their implementation. Salary to commensurate with experience and education.
