SkylArc Studio is a day services program that provides opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to express themselves through art.

Located on Main Street in Penn Yan, SkylArc Studio provides a safe and comfortable environment that encourages creativity and self-expression for individuals.

While exploring artistic abilities, individuals not only learn about art, they learn about themselves. Staff work with individuals to foster their artistic capabilities while assisting them in developing skills in communication, socialization, and money management. By participating in the SkylArc program, individuals achieve a higher level of independence, a stronger awareness of responsibility, and a sense of productivity in the community.

Artists specialize in glass mosaics, but also work in the mediums of acrylics, paper mache, photography, glass fusing, pottery and printmaking.  Much of the work is commissioned by individuals and businesses and non-profit organizations in the community. The studio participates annually in art shows in the area. Members of the studio are always pleased to welcome visitors and are proud to showcase their artistry at the gallery.

Keuka Lake Relay Rally a Success in Second Year
Clear blue skies and crisp fall temperatures greeted nearly one hundred runners from across the state on Sunday as they traveled to Keuka Lake State Park to take part in the Keuka Lake Relay Rally.  Teams of runners split up the roughly 47-mile trek around the lake, stopping at five checkpoints along the way located at local wineries, breweries, and public parks.

Arc of Yates caps two months of construction by opening new Keuka Lake School facility on first day of school.  Students in pre-school and Universal Pre-Kindergarten classes began on Wednesday, the facility's new daycare and before and after school care programs begin next week.

Arc of Yates Concludes Fun-Filled Week at Camp
It was a great way to end the summer as individuals supported by the Arc of Yates went to Camp Whitman.  The week was filled with nature hikes, time in the pool, arts and crafts, games, a carnival, and more as families were also invited to join in the fun mid-week for dinner.  Students from Keuka Lake School also spent the week at camp, and enjoyed a canoe ride on Seneca Lake.  Check out our pictures to see some of the fun!
