Supportive Apartments:

Supportive Apartments are an option for individuals seeking less than 24-hour support. Agency staff are not typically on–site at all times when individuals are home. Staff assistance is provided on an as-needed basis as individuals work towards their goals of living independently.

Arc of Yates Receives Guardianship Grant

This year the Arc of Yates received $14,000 to provide guardianship services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who would not otherwise have a legal guardian or advocate.  Supported by Priscilla Jakupca, Guardianship Coordinator for the Arc of Yates, as well as community volunteers, the program currently provides supports and services to five individuals.

The Agency recently held a picnic for the individuals, families, staff and committee members at its programming facility.   Members of the Arc’s Culinary Institute prepared the food, and personalized gift bags were provided to the individuals.  Tables were decorated with balloons and flower arrangements.  “The picnic provided a great opportunity to build on friendships” commented Ms. Jakupca.  “Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we look forward to hosting more events in the future.”

Individuals interested in learning more about the Guardianship program can contact Priscilla Jakupca at 315-536-7447 ext. 397 or via email at pjakupca@arcofyates.org.
