Members of Penn Yan Rotary teamed up with staff and individuals from the Arc of Yates’ Center for Lifelong Learning to create planter boxes.  Jeff Krans, Rotary Club member, organized the effort by securing grant funding and organizing the volunteer effort.  Over the course of four months, participants prepped the material for the project, developed the designs and built the planter boxes.

Arc of Yates Awarded Grant

The Arc of Yates received a grant in the amount of $3,000 from the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning.  The grant will allow the Agency to continue to develop its Greenspace Project, construction of which began earlier this year.  The two acre parcel, adjacent to the facilities 235 program center, was purchased in 2014 to complete flood mitigation and is being cleared to create a wheelchair accessible cinder trail...

Arc of Yates holds Legacy Luncheon

The Arc of Yates hosted its annual Legacy Luncheon on Wednesday, October, 11th at La Cocina restaurant in Penn Yan.  Employees were celebrated for their ongoing dedication and support of the Agency’s mission.  Daniele Lyman-Torres, President and CEO remarked “These honorees, each with different roles within the Agency, have made a significant difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. We are thrilled to honor them."
