Arc of Yates Receives Grant from Nord Family Foundation

Keuka Lake School, a program of the Arc of Yates, was awarded a grant in the amount of $33,000 from the Nord Family Foundation to support the ever increasing demand for Early Intervention and Universal Prekindergarten and Daycare services for children in and around a five county region.

“Serving children from an hour radius in all directions, Keuka Lake School is the last remaining integrated pre-school and daycare program of its kind in this region” stated Daniele Lyman-Torres, President and CEO of the Arc of Yates. “Thanks to the commitment of the Board of Directors and the community, we continue to grow. The generosity of the Nord Family further demonstrates the ongoing support of our mission.”

KLS is an early childhood program that provides special education, physical, occupational and speech therapies for students with developmental and intellectual disabilities.  The school offers both Universal and three year old Pre-K opportunities through collaboration with the Penn Yan Central School District.  Keuka Lake School also offers daycare services for children of all abilities from 18 months to 12 years of age.
