Day Habilitation

Day Habilitation (DayHab) provides services and support to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to reach their greatest potential. Staff evaluates each person’s abilities, relationships, and interests to individualize their program. Arc of Yates operates three sites throughout the community and several sites at the administrative offices, which offer unique and endless possibilities for activities and skill training.

While participating in activities of their choice (such as cooking, computers, recreation, artistic expression, exercise, music, and more), individuals gain skills in communication, mobility, socialization, safety, personal care, money management, and daily activities necessary to increase their independence.

Staff encourages individuals to fully participate in community activities. Through many volunteer opportunities and community connections, individuals discover their interests, talents, and aspirations while developing independence and self-esteem.

Day Habilitation sites are in operation Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Anyone with a developmental disability over the age of 18 and is eligible for the OMRDD Medicaid Waiver Service can receive DayHab services.
