Clinic Services

To assist individuals in achieving their maximum potential for independence and integration, Arc of Yates offers a variety of person-specific clinical services. Arc of Yates employs experienced and dedicated professionals in psychology, social work, nursing, psychiatry, nutrition, and vocational rehabilitation counseling to serve children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Services Include:

  • Psychology - Psychology services are provided to conduct necessary tests for individuals so they may obtain OMRDD eligibility and access to Arc of Yates services. Additional diagnostic testing is available to help individuals and service providers identify and develop coping strategies to enhance individual potential and inclusionary goals.

  • Social Work - Social Work services are available to provide therapeutic support for individuals to achieve their highest level of social interaction and integration. Social Workers also provide therapy, which fosters human growth and safeguards civil rights. Therapy is provided individually or in a group setting.

  • Nursing - Nursing is provided by Registered Nurses and services include the continued assessment and evaluation of an individual’s healthcare needs. Nursing services also encompass health and wellness education, along with counseling on disease and medication management, healthy lifestyle planning, and techniques for coping with chronic illness.

  • Psychiatry - Psychiatry services are available to individuals who may be in need of evaluation, periodic assessment, and monitoring of prescribed medications. A Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry meets with individuals and their collaterals, if applicable, to develop a suitable treatment plan.

  • Nutrition - Registered Dietician/Nutritionist services are available to individuals who may need evaluation, periodic assessment, and monitoring of an individualized nutritional regime. Individual counseling is geared toward indentifying and achieving healthy outcomes.

  • Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling - This service promotes an individual’s unique vocational needs, skills, and abilities. Counseling is provided to assist an individual in developing workplace social skills and a positive work ethic toward the goal of becoming vocationally successful.
